This instrumental composition was inspired by the text of Psalm 136. He mentioned the Babylonian exile. The music expresses both nostalgia, bitterness and sadness of the people, while leaving a large part to dance. The used musical style is a personal synthesis between the dynamism of minimalist music (always used sparingly with me, without excess), and a French tradition of colorful harmonies and modulations. The work has been a huge success since its premiere with on the violin Beata Halska in 2011.
